Industrial waste generated at AZERIKIMYA’s production sites is managed in accordance with the Waste Management Plan (WMP), which defines requirements for waste reduction, recycling, disposal, and continuous monitoring. Waste data is recorded monthly through the SAP EHS system, and all processes—from segregation to transportation—are handled under strict guidelines.
In 2016, AZERIKIMYA successfully launched the Waste Management Centre (WMC) with an annual capacity of 150,000 tonnes. The Centre handles drilling waste, oil-contaminated materials, wastewater treatment, sewage purification, and separation of multiple waste streams, while also supporting recycling and cooperation with third parties.
AZERIKIMYA works with MENR’s Hazardous Waste LLC to manage hazardous materials, including odorant and PCBs waste.
The company actively promotes recycling and circular economy practices, including processing of paper, batteries, wastewater, and recovery of valuable materials from industrial waste. Ongoing R&D projects focus on recycling plastics, used oils, and equipment.
Waste management at AZERIKIMYA complies with national environmental legislation, international conventions, and the company’s ZERO WASTE policy.
